Sorry about the delay of posts last week but I was actually very busy interning at Alexander Wang for market week. This is when buyers from stores including Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Opening Ceremony, etc come in to view Alexander's Pre Fall 2012 collection so that they could pick and choose what they want to carry in their stores next year. It was very hectic to say the least but a very rewarding experience at the same time. Now the sales team at Wang is preparing to go to Paris to show off the collection. My thoughts on the collection? Absolutely amazing! The whole asthetic is very strong. There is alot of black and leather, and the shilouettes are breathtaking. Not to mention the price point is pretty good considering the amount of detail and impeccable tailoring that goes into each and every piece. And dont even get me started on the shoes! All in all I have not complaints!

P.S. Alexander's showroom/office is one of the most beatiful spaces I have ever laid eyes on. Black wooden floors, high ceilings, white walls, everything was just so clean and crisp!

As you may have heard last night designer Joseph Altuzzara was announced as this years CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund winner. Now he gets to join the impressive list of past winners such as the remarkable Alexander Wang, and the talanted duo behind Proenza Schouler Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez just to name a few.

This is such an tremendous honor to be recognized amoungst some of the most influential minds in fashion as the next big thing, and I believe Joseph is verying deserving.

Joseph will recieve $300,000 to put into his business while runners-up Pamela Love, Shane Gabier and Chris Peters will each recieved $100,000.

So I've really been looking forward to this interview and finally its here! For those of you who dont know I actually had the pleasure of interning at StyleLikeU and Larry (the fellow you see above) is actually one of the people I referred to the SLU team. I am so happy they were able to meet up with him in London and chat (sidenote I've never been to London and I'm dying to go one day). But anyway I really enjoy his blog (Im the only one on my street), his street photography, and his unique sense of style and thought he would be perfect for StyleLikeU. His style reminds me of this whole 90s rap scene but with a little twist. Very creative guy, not afraid to experiment and step outside the box and I can honestly say "I get it".

So as you may already know Nicola Formichetti opened up a pop up shop during Fashions Night Out in Tribeca for a limited two weeks only. NYFW: Outside Marc by Marc Jacobs

Ready for part three of my NYFW coverage? Ok well let me just start out by saying unfortuately I wasnt as successful with the pictures this time around. The crowd was really intense and because of the location security was alot tougher and gave alot of the photographers a hard time when it came to taking pictures. But needless to say I did see some cool editors like Kyle Anderson (KyleEditor), Kate Lanphear (obsessed with her style), Zanna Roberts Rassi, and of course Anna Dello Russo (who might I add looked amazing!). Oh yea and as I was getting ready to leave Russell Simmons decided to show up! He definetly missed the show though, which also seemed to be the case for alot of others that night. Alot of times these shows never start on time but Marc was pretty on point this night. Im sure those who missed it made sure to take note for his second show of the week for his main line Marc Jacobs. Anyway Enjoy and stay tuned!
